Dear Mom and Dad,

Last night I saw the Horace Heidt show. I can't put into words just how great a show it was. It was terrific. I may see shows in the future that are just as good but I doubt if I'll ever see a better one. They had eleven of the most beautiful girls in America here. One of them from Ohio is supposed to be a great choice for "Miss Universe of 1954", and they had talent!!!!

Among a number of great stars there was John Stanlee. You know him, we had his record of "In The Book". He sang it last night.

Last night's show was attended by over 14,000 men. They were all over the hills. We're getting ready to move out. We're packing most of the equipment. I'm not doing much because I strained my back while climbing a pole and I have it taped up.

I received the Sporting News but the Air Mail has been delayed because of the rain and floods.

Someone took the calendar that you sent before. When you send my next Sporting News, please put a calendar in with it. Thank you.

As I said before, We're going to do something Dad won't like. As far as I know, we're going into General Support of the 1 st Marine Division!! Hurrah!!

Hurrah!! Isn't that a hellava blow. I'll be sure when we move whether this is true or not.

That's all for now. I'll write soon.
