Dear Mom and Dad,

It's Sunday again. Last night I had guard duty. We had quite a bit of excitement. A few guys got drunk and were fighting. They're in the stockade. Practically the whole battery was at it.

We had a Command Inspection yesterday morning. I passed it with flying colors. The Colonel said I was a "good soldier". Ahem!!!

Today I just played a few games of pinochle. That's about all that's happened so far.

The White Sox haven't shown me much in the last week or so. I hope they can still take second place from the Indians.

Did Tommie get a trophy for winning the championship. I think they ought to. I won't be home too soon. According to the present system of rotation, I still have one hundred forty-one days left in Korea. I have fourteen months in the army now. Ten more to go.

I'm going to write a couple more letters this afternoon, then get some sleep. So till next time...
