Dear Mom and Dad,
I've got a new job. I'm no longer in the wire section. I'm in the Security section. All I do is pull guard duty, usually about six or eight hours a day. I'll start later this afternoon at three o'clock. Whether I like it or not I'll find out sooner or later. Besides, pulling guard duty all we have to do is keep looking clean and neat. I've got a Korean to wash my clothes and I can keep myself clean so there's no sweat.
The sun is out bright and hot today so I suppose it will be cool tonight. I got a letter and the Sporting News of Sept 2 & 9 last night.
I wrote to Loretta last week. She should have it by the time you get this one. As a matter of fact I should have an answer by that time.
Well, I'm going to chow now.
Love
Eddie
