Dear Mom and Dad,

The carnival was held yesterday. I had a good time. I drank about a case of beer. as a matter of fact that's all I did there--drink beer.

In the afternoon they brought some of the Korean school children for whom we held the carnival. They were in the first to the fourth grades

They did a few dances and sang a couple of songs. They were really shy. One little girl came out, started to say something then ran off. They had to drag her out to finish her part.

This job has its bad points. Three of my buddies stole a jeep to go to a village. They were spotted and chased. They ran into a rock and smashed the jeep. I had to arrest them when they came staggering in. I would have let them go but too many guys saw them. One was suffering from shock and the other two are in the hospital. How they made it on foot from the accident back here in their condition, I don't know.

Well, the Series is tied two and two. I'm rooting for the Yankees. That's all the news for now.
