Dear Mom and Dad,
84 MORE DAYS
We're finally having some "unrainy' weather after three days of it. It isn't dry. It's cold and damp.
I want you to do my a favor, send me about 40 Christmas cards so I can send them out. Will You? Thanks.
Tomorrow's the last day of October. I'm glad this month will be behind me. Then I'll get busy with November.
I'm glad someone is getting warm weather, we're not. If we don't get a stove here soon, I'll never get over my cold. It's hell trying to get out of bed at two or four in the morning with the temperature near freezing.
We're not getting enough to eat lately. I'm always hungry. Maybe it's the cooler climate.
I got a letter from October 21 from you and Lois. Lois's are long letters and I appreciate them but she writes too fast. I have a difficult time trying to figure them out.
I have a couple more negatives I've found. Save them.
That's all for now.
Love
Eddie
