Dear Mom and Dad,

Today is Sunday and we're off so I've got some time to scribble a few lines.

It's getting too cold over here. I received your letter of Dec. 20. I'm getting over my latest cold.

Tell Ronnie he's crazy if he volunteers for anything. Why should he wait two years for a leave when he has one right now? If he waits till he gets drafted he can gripe all he wants but if he asks for it he's got nothing to say.

Benny Klekot should be home now. After all this time in Ft. Riley (over a year) they're going to send him overseas. He says he got a 36 day leave. That's a long time. The army owes me 39 days when I get back. I'll take every one of them.

We've had some pretty good movies lately. I hope they keep them coming. I Korea, New Year's Day is not a Holy Day of Obligation according to what the Priest said today.

A couple more guys rotated yesterday. They had 30 points. 29 points are supposed to leave January 6. I've got 27.

Well, That's it. Still no snow or news.
