Dear Florence-
Though the day is almost over, here, back in the States I would suppose that the peak of voting is just about taking place. I have mused the interest that radio lends to a presidential election. We have only had very meagre news of the speeches pro and con of the candidates. While I am hopeful that Dewey would win, I can accept the outcome which I hear will be the re election of Roosevelt. But I expect the race to be much closer than the Wilkie campaign. I can not look forward with much optimism with Roosevelts leadership thru the next four years. During that time we will need a leader with some experience and grasp of economics and less self serving personality that he has indicated over the past twelve years. I wonder if Dewey has it, but at least he has shown himself a more able leader
