Dear Dewey
Saw your family this afternoon and [thankfully?] acquired your new address. So I’ll give it a try. First your family is fine and showed me your letter. You really must have had some trip. Shame you got a lot of grey hair now? Such a quiet journey. Hope you have located your trunk by now. Sent you the info on it about a month ago.
Col Beasly (still bewailing the number of players that [Aletrait?] has lost) tells me that you aren’t with ANPB. Is that so? Other than that we haven’t had many discussions. I spent most of last week in Washington which is the same as when you left. Likewise all the horses are ok. Tad tells me that Lady didn’t take to the idea of being a mother at all and tried to kick her prospective poppa’s brains out. So there weren’t no meeting and evidently he ^has^ dropped the whole idea. As you can see above theres been no change in Sauk and there no indication that there will be. Nobody seems to be even slightly interested. Goodman now an M.G. Take care of yourself
Wally
