Service History Note
The veteran served during the Yom Kippur War (1973 Arab-Israeli War), the Iran Hostage Crisis (1979 -1980), the 1982 Lebanon War, and the bombing of Libya (1986). He was the commanding officer of VS-32, VS-41, CSW-1, and NAS North Island. He served as a naval aviator accruing 5000 hours of flight time and approximately 500 carrier landings. Jarrell deployed on carriers USS Independence, USS Saratoga, USS Nimitz, USS Eisenhower, USS America and USS Roosevelt.
