The veteran served with Task Force 201 in Lebanon in 1958. He volunteered for service in Vietnam, arriving in country in 1963. In all, he served three tours in Vietnam. He also served with the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) 21st Division and 173rd Airborne Brigade.
