Dear Sue,~

Days may come and days may go, but where they go to, I don’t know. Another birthday in France. A year ago I celebrated it in a billet and an [illegible] chateau. This year I am in this town. Here’s hoping that one year from now I will be able to be with you somewhere in America. It is hard to tell for one with my [disporetion]. If you can remember two years ago I had just came from Mexico, three years ago I believe I was in Pepperell and so on way back in 1910 when I was at May Ranch. That was the year I was twenty-one and little I imagined that I would be such a wanderer. Never
