22-Oct-‘65

Dear Billy, Cathy + Lisa,

How is everyone feeling? I’m just fine. Well I had a new experience last night. Sleeping in a tent! They switched us out of our barracks into tents. It was raining pretty hard too and the water was comming[sic] in the tent. My duffle bag was wet and it was damp and cold. There were about six other guys in there with me. But five of them shipped out today and now there’s just me and one other guy in the whole tent. I just got back from dinner we had fish sticks, carrots, salad + potatoes and for desert I had ice cream. My leg is feeling a little better but it still hurts. I have two more weeks of treatment to take before I’m finished.

I received your litter the other day.
