There are about 100 A.P.C. with batalion[sic] We had to go to the other side of the plantation. We got there and each company split up Everyone had a different area to sweep. Those B52’s really mess up on a lot of things. There beautiful. We started our sweep. When we sweep we usually get in a wedge formation like so. We have more trucks then that but that’s just to show you. The truck I’m in usually rides where you see the circle. We started moving and we must have gone a 100 yards when one of the front trucks hit a mine. There was a bunker to our right also. The line platoons got out and started receiving some fire from it. They opened up with a 50 and the fireing[sic] stopped. Charlie (that’s what I call the V.C., we all call them that) They found two sub machine guns in
