hot and heavy for a while. What had happened we ran right into “Charlies” base camp. There were bunkers and trenches all over the place. All together the battalion killed over 25 “Charlies” We lost three men in the battle and one truck. The truck got hit with a recoilless and caught on fire. It was a total loss Just a few days ago we got three more Charlies and one other day one of our ambushes got two more. We have lost six men so far and have had about 25 to 30 injured. We have found all kinds of supplies also. Plus weapons too. I could write a book about all this stuff.

You said I sounded like I was getting a little disgusting with things over here. Well, personally (and don’t tell anyone especially mommy and day) I am. I’m getting sick of seeing all these people getting messed up and killed
