Darling;

Just now got back from the show, "Song of Russia" it was a wonderful picture. Robert Taylor was a famous conductor + Susan Peters played the part of a talented Russian peasant girl. The music by the symphony was magnificent as were the love scenes. You wouldn't have cared for the more realistic war scenes but I'm sure you would greatly enjoy the rest of the picture. See it if you can.

We didn't get paid to-day. I don't know when we will. I hope we don't have to wait till the tenth. Will send you ten dollars as soon as I get paid.

I'm terribly sorry honey, that I hurt your feelings by taking that money to buy you a Christmas present. If I had known that it would hurt you like that, I wouldn't have done it. I did so want to make it a happy Christmas for you because I figured it would, in all probability, be our last together for some time. It hurts me more than it does you, when I hurt your feelings. I know
