Hi Honey:

First of all I love you- got a letter from Harper. He passed primary + is now in basic training. Didn't have much to say - just wanted me to know he hadn't forgotten me. I guess they really work those guys hard studying + flying all the time.

How is your grandad? Better I hope? If you think he can sit up soon - get some money out of the bank + buy him one of those big chairs with the big ottomans.

Didn't put in for a furlough. Went to see if my transfer goes thru. Headquarters said my application just went in last week. They said an answer should come this or next wk. I'll lay money it won't come back for weeks, if ever. I know you don't want it to - but I would rather get that move, than [drage?] in the infantry, I know that it's a matter of 3 or 4 months at the most in this place - then it'll be overseas in an infantry or medic outfit. Not even for you would I delay + end up like that, I'm sorry I'm funny how I want to go over seas.
