11 March 44

Hi Darling;

I am really getting to a fine edge. Am definitely not getting any mail. Now the question is - is my mail delayed someplace along the line or aren't you writing to me -

Have been here practically 2 weeks, + absolutely no mail from anyone - have written enough to warrant a letter or two. It's discouraging as the devil to wait at mail call every day till the last letter is called off + come away empty handed. Everyone else getting mail regularly - If you haven't written, please write.

We start classes Monday - what a relief. We have been having lots + lots of drilling + some physical training, the result of which leaves me sore all over which shows how much I need that sort of thing. As I wrote before - I have been a section leader drilling the men. With the advent of school commencing, a student officer or rather some students are selected by the Company Commander + Adjutant to act as student officers during the entire school period. 10s are vested quite a lot of authority over the men of our command - [I'ves?] appointed a flight lieutenant + am quite proud of the fact. Am responsible for the conduct + appearance of 31 men + it is my duty to conduct
