25 March 44

Hi Sweetheart,

got my tennis shoes + shoe brush + 2 letters to-day. Thanks darling. Honey for goodness sake, if you need money draw it out of the bank. I certainly don't seem to have pinched any from the way my dough goes.

Yesterday I went out to the range + shot clay pigeons again - terrible shooting - ^(Russel [Anderson?)]^ Andy gave me hell - as of course people from Sterling should be crock shots, made me sore shooting lousy like I did. Then went over to another part of the range + shot at targets from a moving truck - They have 18 targets + you have to shoot fast as the truck is going 30 mph + goes around several banked curves - [fiendish?]!

To day, had some more turret practice. We operated them for the first time yesterday morning. To day we had more operation. The Ball turret is attached on a platform like the bottom of a plane.
