Darling;

Well I just got 2 letters from you + another from Mrs. Clark - mother of that kid I trained with at Grant. Am sending it to you - it came with a big pretty easter card too big to send in my envelope.

Say "Smiler" really had a close shave didn't he. I don't envy him that close call one bit.

Was up 4 hrs this afternoon. Had to land once cause it was leaking gas. Somebody forgot to put the cap on one of the wing tanks after refueling. Boy it really gets cold up there. Specially firing the waist guns out those windows + the wind gushing in like a tornado. We use throat mikes to talk with otherwise you [can't?] hear anybody if you tried.
