Hi Darling,

Such weather - to day it was beautiful, but the mud is still to be reckoned with however.

I neglected to mention in yesterdays letter that I saved the small 'pop chute' and a couple of panels of the big main chute. It's nylon + perhaps you can manage to get enough material out of it to make a blouse, scarf or whatever you wish.

We're going to Rome Saturday for a few days. I hope to do a little gawking around if the weather's not adverse.

While we were gone, some generous fellows helped themselves to all of our cigarettes - Xmas packages + other things
