Darling,

Hurrah! Five letters tonight. Yours of the 3rd 4th + 6th also one from Mom + the other from Kent. Now maybe I can find something to write about.

So glad you've received some of my recent letters even if they are very poor examples of letter writing.

The gov't is certainly slow in sending the good news. Also with the bad news, but that side was fine being delayed - too bad they didn't delay the MIA news a couple of weeks longer.

I'm sorry that you got word from Gladys like that, at such an inopportune time, especially so.

I too hope there's no recurrence of that sort of thing but as I said before it is always a possibility. But ordinarily they get back from M.I.A. or end up a POW.
