2 PM

Hi Darling,

Just received your letter of the 19th. Last night I got two of the 16th + the letter from Teddy. Didn't write last night cause it was rather late when we returned.

So Kent gets stuck with that outfit? Damn that makes me mad but perhaps he can transfer later.

That certainly is surprising news if Gene did marry that young Thompson girl. Naturally, if it's announced, give them a nice present.

Well honey I've got thirty-one missions now, but we earned the last one. We bombed a place North of Vienna + got a nice flak hole in the gas tank in the right wing. The gas was running out quite fast so we were praying it wouldn't catch on fire. Nall decided to land in Yugoslavia, we got there without mishap but just as we were almost stopped, something exploded + the ship caught on fire. It was amusing
