8 March 45

Darling,

Received your letter of March 1st tonight - that's fast service. Now then if the mail from the 24th to the 1st would come I'd be all set.

Hurrah you got the apt now if the back mail comes I'll know where the heck it is. Doggone this mixed up mail any how.

About that vague present I promised you long ago. As soon as I can get some more particulars about the place perhaps I can send it - it might not be practical - "Darn, darn, darn!" did you say? I'm sorry but it's got to wait - am not just trying to add to the suspense. I promise to tell what I intended if it should turn out to be impractical.
