Stationed near Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base, Vietnam, Edward Anthony Zipeto typically focused his camera lens on the world around him, rather than taking shots of service buddies or self-portraits. While a handful of photographs depict his work in a military post office, the vast majority show elements of the local landscape that he clearly found intriguing such as a young Vietnamese civilian selling colorful balloons, a vendor’s watermelon stand, and city streets filled with horse drawn buggies, cars, and pedicabs.
